This is @mrbob0822, apparently, but I think it’s more likely he’s Alistair under cover.

*slides in months late* I was 100% freaking out most of the morning before going to this meet up and because I was suddenly convinced that my costume wasn’t good enough because I made it in a month and that I wasn’t enough of a DA fan since I’d literally just come to the fandom earlier that year BUT THEN everyone was so nice and it was really fun and I’m so incredibly glad we went.

the ‘$1000 to go to Hawaii’ bride, the ‘I bought a $99 polygraph on amazon’ lady, or the ‘why was $200 so huge’ birthday girl

a lot of people seem to be confused and think the hawaii bride and the polygraph lady are the same but they’re actually 2 separate people so here’s all 3 in one go

The original ninja turtle

@we-are-rogue

It’s true! And not just in Egypt, it’s recorded as a standard burglar technique in 12th century Persia. So much so that catching a fellow in the middle of the night carrying a crowbar and a drill wouldn’t necessarily prove anything, but if he also had a live tortoise with him, well it could only be a professional burglar.

“The tortoise is employed thus. The burglar has with him a flint-stone and a candle about as big as a little finger. He lights the candle and sticks it on the tortoise’s back. The tortoise is then introduced through the breach into the house, and it crawls slowly around, thereby illuminating the house and its contents.”

“I put my phone down and can’t find it”, a saga.

“Want me to call it?”
“It’s on silent.”

A tragedy in three parts.

My wife is a super techie person and told me about something thay actually FIXED this problem for me.

There’s an app called IfThisThenThat(ITTT) and you can tell your phone to do all sorts of cool stuff, but the big one for me was that you can set it up so if you get a text with a key phrase(i think the default is “lost phone”) and only that key phrase, it turns on your volume and cranks it to max.

This has helped me so much, I hope it can help some of you.

Pharaoh Ramses II’s Egyptian passport, issued in 1976 for passage to France nearly three millennia after his death.

In order to leave the country, Egypt required anyone leaving the country, living or dead, to have the proper papers. Seemingly the first mummy to receive one, Ramses had his occupation listed as “King (deceased).”  Bibliothèque Infernale on FB

I’m sorry but I love how Percy Jackson grows from a starry eyed twelve year old who’s like

“Wow the gods are so awesome! I hope I don’t die though”

To a done college student who’s slammed a door in a God’s face and who’s like

“Fuck the gods I hope I die this time”

Honestly character development at its best
